Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Synvesco Ventures Pvt. Ltd. ("frinq", "we"). By ticking the box when you sign up, or by using frinq, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Dating safety page.
1. Who can use frinq
You can use frinq only if all of these are true:
- you're 18 or older;
- you're legally able to agree to these terms;
- you're not prohibited from using frinq, and we haven't removed you before;
- you have not been convicted of a violent or sexual offense and are not required to register as a sex offender;
- you're using frinq for yourself: one account per person, and nobody else's details.
2. What frinq is, and what it isn't
frinq is in beta. During the beta we're testing and changing things. Features may change, break, or stop, and we may pause the service.
- You answer a questionnaire, we write you a private read, and we may introduce you to people we think you'll get on with.
- We don't promise any introduction, date or relationship.
- Your read is written by AI from your answers. It's an interpretation, and it can be wrong. It's not psychological, medical or professional advice.
- frinq does not run criminal background checks on members, and we don't verify that what people tell us is true.
3. Your account
Keep access to your phone or sign-in account secure. Tell us at hello@frinq.in if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account if you didn't keep it secure.
4. What you share
- Your content stays yours. That means your answers, stories, voice recordings and photos.
- You give frinq a limited permission (a license) to store and process that content, and to show the parts described in our Privacy Policy to people we introduce you to, so that we can run the service. The license is non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free. It ends when you delete the content, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons.
- Only share what's yours to share. Upload only photos you took, or have the right to use. Don't show other people's faces without their okay. Never upload anything sexual, or anything that shows a child.
- Don't share other people's private details in your stories.
5. How to behave
Don't:
- harass, threaten, demean or discriminate against anyone;
- impersonate anyone or lie about who you are, including your age;
- ask anyone for money, or promote a business or scheme;
- share intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- use frinq for anything illegal, or to harm minors;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or try to break into frinq or anyone's account;
- use anything you learn about another member outside frinq, other than to meet them as introduced.
We may remove content, pause or close accounts, or report to authorities when we believe these terms have been broken or someone is at risk. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why.
6. Meeting people
Read our Dating safety tips. You're responsible for your own interactions with other members, online and in person. We aren't responsible for other members' conduct, but we want to hear about anything that makes you feel unsafe: hello@frinq.in or the report link on the safety page.
7. Removing content, including intimate images
If someone has shared an intimate image of you without your consent, or anything on frinq that you believe breaks these terms, report it through the Dating safety page. We aim to act on valid requests about intimate images within 48 hours.
8. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Your data. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if it's needed to protect others, or if we end the beta. Sections 4 (the parts about licenses that survive), 9, 10, 11 and 12 continue after your account closes.
9. Disclaimers
frinq is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties: we don't promise that frinq will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any introduction will go well.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages;
- we aren't liable for anything arising from your interactions with other members;
- our total liability to you is limited to the greater of USD 100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some states don't allow some of these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute about frinq or these terms will be decided by the courts in Gurugram, Haryana. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app or by message at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using frinq after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account.
